Alabama football: Live updates from Kevin Steeleâs camp press conference
Alabama defensive coordinator Kevin Steele takes over the job from Pete Golding for 2023, after the latter took the same job at Ole Miss during the offseason. It’s Steele’s second time in the position, as he was Nick Saban’s first defensive coordinator in Tuscaloosa in 2007 and 2008.
Steele, who also worked at Alabama in 2013 and 2014 is now in the midst of preseason camp with a defense that again figures to be one of the best in the SEC. On Sunday, Steele was scheduled to speak with reporters along with Saban and new offensive coordinator Tommy Rees.
